The Now Advocate was built from a simple belief: ServiceNow talent is out there. Sometimes people just need the right opportunity, the right guidance and someone willing to advocate for them with honesty and intention.
My path into ServiceNow was not planned.
I started my career as a C# engineer. At one point, I was given the opportunity to build an ASP.NET web service that ServiceNow would consume.
Around that same time, the company I worked for was going through a digital transformation. There was more ServiceNow work than there were ServiceNow developers available to support it.
So I raised my hand. I tossed my name in, stepped into the ServiceNow space and never looked back.
What made the difference was the community.
What stood out early was not just the platform. It was the people. The ServiceNow developers I worked with were helpful, patient and willing to share what they knew.
That gave me room to grow. It gave me confidence to keep learning. It also showed me what a healthy technical community can feel like.
That was not always the experience I had with every peer in technology. In some technical circles, it can feel like people are guarding knowledge instead of sharing it. In the ServiceNow ecosystem, I found something different: training, encouragement, community and people who genuinely wanted others to succeed.
That experience shaped the mission.
The more I learned, the more I realized ServiceNow was not just a tool. It was an ecosystem filled with opportunity. There was always another skill to build, another business problem to solve and another way to make work better for people.
